The White House and several US lawmakers have repeatedly said that the video-sharing app poses a national security risk based on the fact that it’s owned by a Chinese company.
In an email sent to employees by the CEO Sundar Pichai, the company announced that remote work will be extended till next summer, and this will likely affect global contractors in major headquarters.
The CEO stated his company will file a lawsuit against Alameda County, arguing that the “unelected and ignorant interim health officers there are acting contrary to the orders issued by the governor.”
