After losing many advertisers, Mark Zuckerberg decided to introduce new policies that would tighten content restrictions on the platform, reducing hate speech, misinformation, and inflammatory posts.
This happened after the ACCC, Australia’s competition watchdog, was asked to produce a code of conduct that would be imposed on tech companies in order to balance out the playing field.
They said the company has shown a complete lack of initiative when it comes to dealing with the President’s most recent Facebook posts in response to the protests.
The government is yet again blaming video games for the recent mass shootings in the US while failing to acknowledge these same video games are played worldwide, yet mass shootings are solely a US problem.
