The next iPhone is expected to be unveiled in a few days. Apple’s event will end lots of rumors and speculations regarding the smartphone and some of the features it will come with.

Well, we know a lot of things so far about the new iPhone. But for most people who have followed the launch of previous iPhones, you’d agree that as much as there are always leaks about possibly every bit of the phone, you can never be too sure.

It still doesn’t hurt to look around and see what information you can find. Luckily for you, there are a few things we think will be a part of the new iPhone and we are going to give you the full breakdown.

First of all, let’s take a look at the prices.

It’s expected that the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will retail at somewhere between $1,000 and $1,200. This should not come as a surprise though. After all, Apple is not really known for throwing in savings for customers buying new releases.

As for the display, we strongly believe that there will be a major upgrade on the screen. Apple is expected to move to OLED screens for its premium models. This will offer more accurate display including better colors and uniformity. The display will also offer better power saving. It will, however, have a direct impact on the cost of the phone. Experts note that using an OLED screen as opposed to a standard LCD screen will jump the price for each device by $125.

The camera is also something worth talking about and why not, iPhones have made major strides over the years in this regard. The new iPhones are expected to feature dual cameras that will stack vertically. It should be remembered that previous models that feature dual cameras always stacked horizontally. The depth-sensing feature has been improved significantly.

There’s more:

There’s also talk about another model called iPhone X which could deliver a lifelike augmented reality experience. This could be the biggest statement yet in incorporating virtual reality in mobile phones. There has been a consistent attempt by various phone makers to offer a better augmented reality experience but so far not many phones have really reached a level attributable to major progress in this area.

But so far, it seems the iPhone X might just open the door and lead the way as far as offering a better augmented reality goes. The iPhone may also feature Face ID, a facial recognition feature that can be used to unlock the phone. There’s also a possibility that the new iPhone will have a feature that allows users to unlock the phone while it’s lying on the table flat.

The availability of these features will depend on which model you will be buying. Reports have indicated that shipments for the iPhone X will be done later compared to the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus. It’s not yet clear how long it will take though. Although this could push people to buy the cheaper iPhone 8, there will also be some who will wait just a little bit more for the iPhone X.
