Imagine applying for a job in one of the biggest companies in the world and getting a reply from the CEO? Sounds like a fairy tale, right? Well, for this 7-year-old girl from Hereford, England, it happened.

Chloe Bridgewater, driven by her fascination with the Kindle Fire tablet, robots, and the thought of working with a big tech company, decided to apply for a job at Google. The 7-year-old wrote in a letter to the Silicon Valley tech giant that she would love to work there when she grows up.

What makes this story great is that Google’s CEO, Sundar Pichai, responded four days later. The CEO encouraged Chloe to continue working hard and to get in touch with the company after she finishes school. Her father Andy Bridgewater said that he was over the moon when he got the reply. Pichai in the reply urged the 7-year-old girl to pursue her dreams saying that he looked forward to receiving her job application.

Chloe’s father noted that the response from Google’s CEO couldn’t have come at a better time than this. The 37-year-old said that Chloe had been hit by a car some years ago and that getting a response from Google was a massive confidence booster for his daughter.

The fascination towards Google is something new for Chloe. It started off as a simple thing. Chloe’s father Andy recalls a normal evening when his daughter asked which would be the ideal place to work. The first thing that came to mind was Google.

Andy, who is a salesman for a refrigeration-system parts maker, said that when he realized that Chloe wanted to work there in the future, he encouraged her to write a letter and get things rolling.

The response from Google’s CEO has received a lot of attention and Andy believes that it will encourage his daughter Chloe even more as she now looks forward to working in Silicon Valley. The letter to Google was only the second letter Chloe had ever written.

If you ask many 7-year-olds what they would like to do or be when they grow up, it’s very likely that you are going to get very funny answers. Some will tell you they want to be princesses, others rock stars, some firefighters, etc. But for Chloe Bridgewater, there was only one thing in her mind, and that is to work for Google.

Although she mentions in the letter that she’d love to work in a chocolate factory too and become an Olympic swimmer, it’s this fascination with Google that has everybody talking and especially when you consider that the CEO of the American tech giant took the time to reply to the letter sent by the 7-year-old girl. Chloe’s father said that all he wanted was to encourage his daughter and ensure that she keeps doing well in her studies.
