Despite Elon Musk’s tweet showing contempt for the ESG metrics, investors believe Tesla still cares about ESG – even if Musk says otherwise.
Shortly after the Twitter deal was confirmed, Tesla moved from a market cap of slightly above $1 trillion to around $900 billion.
The streaming service is facing increased competition in the on-demand video space and is likely to face major headwinds.
It is not the first time LVMH is pursuing this type of deal. The company has acquired a series of top brands including Celine, Givenchy, and others.
Musk said explicitly that if indeed the company cannot achieve a "Starship flight rate of once every two weeks”, then there is a real risk of bankruptcy in the near term.
PayPal did not however rule out the possibility of pursuing Pinterest in the future. A statement released by the company said that “at this time”, there was no offer on the table.
